  • Upon installation wipe your cabinets with a soft, damp cloth.
  • Dry immediately with another clean, soft cloth.
  • Always wipe in the direction of the wood grain.
  • Dry off any areas immediately where water/liquid has spilled.
  • Use a blotting motion rather than wiping to remove moisture.
  • Do not place coffee makers, crockpots, or other small appliances where steam will vent directly onto cabinet surfaces.
  • Allow dishwasher heat and steam to dissipate before opening the door. Repeated premature releases of heat and steam will damage the adjacent cabinets over time.
  • Moisture is the worst enemy of any finish. Cabinets near the sink and dishwasher are most susceptible to irreversible water damage.

  • Keep humidity and temperature levels in your home within a consistent range to avoid swelling and shrinkage of wood.
  • Parker & Bailey Lemon Oil Polish will protect wood and repel water, prolonging the life of your cabinets.
  • Dampen (do not soak) a soft cloth in the lemon oil and gently apply to cabinet surface.
  • Avoid using products that contain bleach, ammonia, harsh detergents/soaps, abrasive cleaners, waxes, and scouring pads.
  • Keep an eye on joints seen in photo below: doors are easily damaged by liquid pooling and running in these areas.
Hairline cracks in cabinet doors can be caused by various factors, including changes in temperature and humidity, which lead to the expansion and contraction of the wood.

While
hairline cracks can be unappealing and frustrating to deal with, they are not an indication of structural damage. Hairline cracks are a natural result of wood movement. Wood putty can be used to fill in any unwanted gaps.
Included with your cabinetry is touch up paint for your convenience. It is important to know that paint must be catalyzed before use. This process is absolutely necessary in order for your paint to work properly. You cannot skip the catalyzing step as it could result in damage to your finish.
Please note that once you mix your paint and catalyst, it will only be good for 24 hours. After that period it will no longer be viable and must be disposed of.

Step #1: Remove lids from both syringe and can.
Step #2: For best results, stir the paint while slowly pouring the catalyst in. If not well-mixed the catalyst will separate and float to the top making incorporation very difficult and rendering your paint unusable. Once combined your paint is ready.
